I got a peek at the Mugen Catalog at the Honda dealer here in Seoul. They are making a Mugen Honda Legend! (Acura RL) Not much for big cars but WOW. Had all the S2K bits in the catalog as well as stuff for Integra, CRX, etc.

I replaced my HKS with the Mugen AP2, honestly I think I liked the sound of the HKS better! IMO I think the Mugen sound should of been stock from the factory. Its really mellow.

I never thought of myself as a brand whore, but I guess I am. If this wasnt a Mugen, I think I would of reverted back to the HKS.
Last spring I finally received the Mugen AP2 I ordered through Bulletproof six months earlier. After one week with the Mugen I ordered a new HKS and had it on my car a week after that. I personally really like the look of the Mugen, but the sound quality left much to be desired to my ears. And to me, I really didn't think the Mugen was much less loud at all. Over all sound level was very similar below V-TEC. The HKS is a little louder in V-TEC. But the Mugen didn't have any nice tone anywhere IMO. The HKS has mellowed a bit as it's been run in and sounds great. Yeah, just a hair resonate down very low, but not bad at all.

Hangers are resused, but it comes with O ring gaskets. The quality is amazing...

Did you receive new gaskets with the exhaust? And are new rubber hangers included or are the stock ones reused?

I agree that it's overpriced, but I couldn't help myself either and ordered one. I look at it as spending my kids' inheritance, so it's not really my money.
Couldn't resist couldya?!

Oh well, I guess I'm not the only one in Central Florida running an AP2 Mugen dual anymore. :sigh:

It's a great exhaust! Enjoy it Dean.

Nope, I drove my wife nuts about it and she finally caved. I've wanted it since it came out, but hearing and seeing yours was the clincher for my wife. She was afraid that it was going to sound like one of those fart-can exhausts.
I'm working on her now for the AP2 header.

Mugen ... Your car looks great, I love to see members buying parts despite the price. You get what you pay for..
