Just Curious... Why Black?
Alright, other than the fact that it matches most any color, and that it looks damn good in the S2000, why did Honda choose to put black interior in the majority of S2000s? Being that black absorbs sooooo much heat, it just seems a lighter color would've been a more practical choice for an open top car. I know blue and tan are offered, but of course limited by exterior options. Again, this is not intended to draw negative sentiment... I'm still nuts about the car and I expect delivery of my own '05 Silverstone, red/black within the next two weeks. Just wondered why black.

It seemslike a lot of sporty cars use primarily black as the interior color. Maybe Honda thinks it is that much more popular than the other colors?
I too wish the offered more choices. I would like red/Tan or BRG/Tan.

Black is a staple of interior colors. I Absolutely love my red/black interior, but some people I describe it to think it's a little gaudy. I imagine those people would prefer black. Black looks good, doesn't need cleaning as often as tan, and is a good conservative choice.

I went for the full red interior as I thought all black was a little boring, I think they should have at least put a few more styling details in there to break it up a bit.

Black interior is pretty boring, and everyone has it. Some colers need black though, silver, yellow, and black.

IMO sports need colored interior. Black is just the regular look, doesn't look superior, doesn't look inferior.
However sports DO NOT look good with tan so I dont know where they went with that one.
I also do not see why some colors get certain colors. When you buy the car, you should be able to select the interior, regardless of exterior color.

I wanted black/red interior too but ended up buying black interior. If you look at 2-3 year old Boxsters with Boxster Red interior, you can see the discoloration. And that is not pretty.
Color fades quickly if we drive with the top down often. And the two different color tones will fade at different rates.
The S2000 red/back combo is beautiful though.
