Just bought dream car... now its missing

if i DO get it back, say missing seats or something... i will get lojack ASAP. any other anti-theft recommendations?
BTW, part of the reason i got the S is that i thought you couldnt interchange its engine and tranny with other hondas, unlike the rsx s or prelude...
what could someone do with the engine and tranny other than sell them to S owners who need replacements?

well..... the interior parts along with body parts i.e HID headlamps, hood etc are very valuable. Check ebay for parts that may or may not be yours as that seems to be the common selling ground for theives. But I do agree, the engines/trannies are less sellable, unless you sell them to another S user..... I have heard of a kit that may or may not be available that bolts up the f20c motor to the rsx-s tranny and makes it front wheel drive but Im not sure if anyone has done this.

I think there's a kit that will shoehorn the F20C into the Elise body, but I'm not sure why you'd want to replace the K20 from the RSX with the F20C...great engines, but the K has been shown to be friendlier to modifications. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, and i hope it doesn't deter you from getting another one! Be sure to make it theft-proof (Hardtop, alarm, flamethrower under rocker panel, the works.) Or, move somewhere with a secure garage.

I am sorry to hear what happened, I can only imagine how it feels to have a car missing. By any chance have you checked local towing companies, maybe some towed it for illegal parking or something. I say don't give up on the S, if you really want that car again just take extra precatious.

i still dont understand why the thieves took the car, when none of its parts bolt up to other Hondas (as in FWD) they can sell the seats easily, and maybe the other parts on ebay to other S2K owners. Thats is why i say, beware of anything for sale on ebay! Ive heard that lots of stolen goods end up there and there little or nothing being done about this
