Default Junk on For Sale Forum

I've been thinking about this for a while. I'm thinking about re-modifying my AP2 after selling all of my stuff, so I've been trolling the for sale forums quite a bit. I don't understand who buys all of the junk that is for sale. I've been around this board for over ten years, and all that you used to see was Tein, Mugen, BBS, Spoon, Volk, etc. Now all there is a bunch of random car crap, wheels that don't fit the S2000, and iPhones for sale. Even the Sponsors and group buys are weak. Who is buying all of this junk in the first place? Sorry, I want to get back into my S2000, but I guess I'm the only one that is willing to buy decent stuff. Sorry for my rant. If I see one more "hella flush fitment" thread, I'm going to scratch my eyes out.

There a ton of enticing s2k stuff for sale. I try to stay away so my wallet doesn't get pummeled, haha.

Yeah being around on the forum since 03, things have certainly changed. I prefer to just go with it and go with whats best at the time ie new quality, 2nd hand quality, or e bay cheap. Cant beat some of the OEM parts though no matter what year, if its good it'll usually go sooner or later.

I usually surf local subforums or specialty subforums. The general For Sale subforums are very difficult to browse.

The earliest AP1 are cheap enough that most teens can afford to buy one with just a minimum wage job. With that comes with a flood of cheap parts. Hardly any high school kid can afford a set of Volks rims on their own.

This is why I have kept my car stock (exception of being lowered). I rather have a clean stock car than a modded car with junk parts. The Hella-flush theme is the new thing along with super skinny tight jeans and pink t-shirts.

This.

I used to want to change quite a bit about my S2000. But I have to say the current setup (AP1, lowered on Espelir, AP2v1s, Invidia exhaust/testpipe), is a modest and simple sports car that is easy to appreciate in a car tuning scene that has become more about extreme form than function. You can have that mess.

I am just going to stick to enjoying one of the finest sports cars ever made, as is.

I just had to vent a little. I used to love this forum, and now I can't stand it. I've moved on to M3 Post and 6 Speed Online, but I still have my S2000 and love it. I'm glad there are still a few of us left that get it.
