I was a non-believer, but I could instantly tell the difference on my friend's car. You won't feel a big difference for a relatively new street car, but once the car has been tracked for a while and everything falls apart, it makes a huge difference. So having it on first will keep the chassis in better shape on the long run.
Here are my thoughts about chassis bracing:
Front STB: must-have if running stiff springs and dampers
Front X-Brace: must-have
Rear STB: must-have
Rear X-Brace: for looks

X-brace refers to cross brace, and in the case of the rear lower one, it's just a bar that is across the chassis "rails.

I track the car a lot as well as driving it hard up/down the mountains , I am sure it made a difference over stock bar. The back end is more responsive which I feel more neutral steer and you may notice the rear is more stable, Feel less flex.
