J's Racing Engine Torque Damper
This is a brand new product from J's Racing. For all those who have seen the engine bay of the Porsche Cayenne, you will know that it has a HUGE torque dampener built right into the intake manifold casting.
What do you guys think of this product for the S2000? Seems intriguing, if it makes the car feel even more responsive and race-car like.
It's at www.jsracing.co.jp/index2.html
Looks like it uses a Tien damper unit.
Price for the unit is about $200US, heat shield is about $50, only works with J's Racing strut tower brace.
Anyone have any opinions?

Hey wait a minute, I thought S2000s didn't have any torque! Seriously, it this reduced some of the drivetrain lash, I might be interested. I just need someone like Stephen to test it out for me!

Yeah, I think the general idea is that the drivetrain is more stabilized. For example, all that shaking by the gearshift knob is representative of how much the engine is moving side to side in normal driving. This should considerably reduce the shaking and help stabilize the drivetrain.

I'm it! My friend has this on his EP3 and you can feel the solidity in the drivetrain. Anyone have a lead on who can get it? Count me in for a GB if one arises.

One thing to keep in mind - there's a big warning on the page saying it's for right-hand drive only. A left-hand drive version is still under development.

as noted at the bottom of the page, this is for the right hand drive only. so soon, they will tell me when the left hand drive version will be out.
its a great piece for pushing the hp to the ground instead of losing it to the motor mounts.
when its released, I'll post a gb for this item.
