I purchased the leveling motors (to be able to aim the Euro-spec housings without a custom-fix) but never purchased the additional pieces to "auto-level".

Actually, I am the friend that bought Shane's euro set. If I remember correctly, Shane did not purchase just the clear inserts but instead bought the entire housing and removed the inserts. He then put them in his stock US housings. Shane has a lot of time on his hands and likes to play with things.

One more time (I'm really slow tonight).

If I buy Euro Spec lights, what else do I absolutely positively have to buy for the lights to work on my car?

Turn signal lamp sockets.

My understanding is you'd need ALL of the following:

1) Euro LHD headlight housings.
2) Special mounting kit/bracket to bypass the self-leveling motor mount.
3) Turn signal sockets to fit the larger openings.
4) Light bulbs to fit the sockets.

??? ???
Is that just the screw and plate to adjust the aiming level manually? or is it a bracket that actually mounts between the housing and the car?

Is it possible to swap the metal-insert (the "cutoff") on these headlight housings so that the JDMs do not blind oncoming traffic? I was thinking of getting the JDMs then swapping that specific part with USDM one so that its still aiming properly.
