Default JDM S2000 Seat-to-Chair Kit

When I found out it costs over $9,000 to replace the 2 seats in my S, I really started thinking about removing them from the car, before they get stolen.

I realized that I would never even spend this kind of money on two seats for my home, so I did contemplate mounting them appropriately, and using them somehow.

Now that I've got my seat locks, I feel somewhat better about leaving mine in the car.

I came across this kit today while shopping for JDM parts. The kit even includes a hack saw! This kit will turn your beautiful seats into some ugly-ass chairs.

I think just about anyone could have designed something more attractive than this:

That is pretty cool. It reminds me of the Sparco Wheel Chair me and my friends made for our house.

Any idiot with an adjustable wrench and a razor blade can steal the S2000 seats in less than 5 minutes.

Stealing the car requires more elaborate equipment and knowledge.

Replacing the expensive OEM seats with aftermarket seats seems reasonable.

Never taking the car out of the garage seems ridiculous.

Why the heck does it cost so much to have them replaced? 9k seems awfly high. 2k seems reasonable.

I have seen kits for Porsche seats that has a nice pedestal and makes it look like a Porsche office/designer chair. Nothing like this Erector set for the S2000.
