JDM MY2004 is AP1 or AP2?

here is a yahoo auction for a jdm 05
note that if you look at the specs its written S2000, 2000cc and go a little further down the chassis code is written as ABA-AP1
so what do you have to say about that?

The image below is supposed to be the VIN of an MY06 EUDM S2000. If it's an AP2, why does it have an AP1 VIN?
Somebody is confused, and I think it's me.

so if for every minor change honda changed the chassis code it would be as follows:
00-01 = ap1
02-03 = ap2
04-05 = ap3
06+ = ap4
anyway in japan we call the 00-05 and ap1 its just separated by a sub number after so the real code goes like this:
00-01 = ap1(10)
02-03 = ap1(20)
04-05 = ap1(30)
06+ = ap2(00)
00-01 = ap1

00-03 = AP1 (and engine code F20C1)
04-07 = AP2 (and engine code F22C1)
If the EUDM VIN pictured above isn't a fraud then in Europe they still got the full AP1 until MY06. It's probably safe to assume that they'll get the AP2 chassis when they get their F22C2, and apparently it's a package deal.
Did Honda ever sell cars with the AP2 chassis code and the F20Cx engine code?
Do all the JDM AP1's (through MY05) all have the same rear sub frame and steering ratio I have in my NADM AP1?

Why do you suppose Honda kept selling the AP1 chassis and F20Cx engine combination to the rest of the world for so many years? Do the AP1's made in MY04 and later have 17" wheels? If so, how many of the other AP2 upgrades did they get?

my ap2 vin is ap214.
the JDM ap1's do not get the same subframes or steering ratios from 00-05 i can get all the specs from revspeed once i get home
and it seems europe still gets ap1's because they still use the f20

I wanna hear more from the people who are certian that AP1 production stopped after MY03, and that later cars with the F20Cx are still AP2's if they're MY04 or later.

Oh dang. Sorry guys. Didn't realize this turns up to be a big debate!!!
Anyway, regardless of the code, I'm happy as long as the 2004 JDM S2000s have the updated tranny and sub-frame. I'm eyeing on one right now and just wanted to make sure I get those goodies.
I don't mind too much which code it is ... as long as I get the tranny and sub-frame right, since those are a pain in the butt to convert.

I guess the rest of the world got to keep the roll understeer along with the higher redline for the first few years of AP2 sales here in the USA.
I find this funny for some reason. Anyway ... that newer suspensions aren't that bad!!! hehehehehe
