Default JDM Headlights Fitment

I recently installed jdm chrome headlights on the s2k and the fitment is not as flush (to the stock bumper) as the usdm headlights. I discuss this to another jdm headlight user and he has the same results. Are we just installing this incorrectly or is this normal? I've search the forums and didn't find anything on this.

it's supposed to fit flush.

the only thing you'd have to change are the turn signal sockets if you hadn't done that already.

I recently had a headlight housing replaced (passenger side) and now there's a gap between the bottom edge of the lens and the bumper. So it's not just the JDM housings. I'm probably going to try to take the bumper back off and see if I can adjust it in some way. A Honda dealership did the work originally...

I had the same problem when I installed my new lights. I found that if you loosen all the screws and then tighten them down with some priority given to the ones opposite the area that sticking out (ie. if it's sticking out on the bottom, tighten the top bolts more) then it should lie flat.

Try adjusting the L bracket under the headlights. Because the metal bar has tabs for the front bumper to slide into. Just make sure they're high enough for the bumper to seal the gap. I'm 99% sure that is the reason why there's a gap. I've taken my headlights off twice and bumper too many times to count so I should know my chit.
