Default J's Racing Vented Hood

Okay, so the vent scares the hell outta me, Anyone have experience w/ the J's Racing vented hood and an AEM cai? Any problems w/ hydrolock or does the water drain safely elsewhere, Could i be save driving in a heavy rainstorm should i get caught in one???

Thanks,
Jay

The filter is located on the passenger side right behind the fake duct. You are more likely to get hydrolock from the rain and wet roads then anything coming in from the J's Hood.

Nope. I've been through some pretty severe rains with that hood (and the PRM filter, no less) with zero issues.

Good to hear...I live in Vegas and it rains MAYBE 15 times a year. I just got the AEM intake and have the Js hood. I wasnt really nervous about it too much, but it has crossed my mind about the hydrolocking issue.

Your engine can be sprayed with a garden hose. That's how I wash mine. Water coming in from the vents in such a hood will only leave water marks and dirty up your engine bay. Other than that, it's no big deal.

Can you spare a knee cap? (You know, for when Gino comes to collect?)
