eh... i've always known s2000 was somewhat loud, but never believed my friends' sayings.
this one girl- "i was in my dorm room one night and i hear this rocket flying out side, so i looked and it was you!"
this kid- "sometimes you fly down the hill and i hear the engine... it's not like mustangs' deep growl- it's like some kind of beasts, pretty scary and LOUD!"
this another kid- "is your car okay? it sounds really scary."
...??
i've never heard s2000 outside of s2000, so last night i asked my firend to rev it up to 7000 while i was about 20 feet away from the car.
...

...
yeah it is LOUD, i got kinda scared.
i have everything stock, too! second thoughts on getting spoon's exhaust...

No doubt, my fricking neighbors down the street are always yelling at me to slow down when I drive by andthe funny thing is that I'm always going the speed limit. It's almost like that Toyota Celica commercial where the old man is yelling at the car to "slow down!" and it is parked the whole time.
I'm willing to live with this problem though.

I have the RM Racing exhaust and it is loud in VTEC and when slowing down. With the SC, the engine is now as loud as the exhaust in VTEC, especially with the top down. Just as well turn the radio off if you're in a VTEC mood!

Coming down the main road into campus I got blue lighted at three in the morning for doing fifty in second gear. He didnt pull me over, but just turned his lights on for a second and then went back to sleep I guess The speed limit is 40 or 45 so its not like it looked like I was flying, but loud as hell...

The F20C is by far the loudest VTEC engine I've ever heard. I have to admit, the engine with the top up is really loud, but I've come to like it. Gives the car character, something lacking in other Honda products.

The other day, I had my buddy drive my car and was the first time I heard my car from the outside. I agree the car is a little on the loud side but it sounds so good. It has that high pitch whining sound similar to a Ferrari 355 ( much more toned down of course ) I love the sound of this car! It sounds like it means business and does NOT sound like a typical 4 cylinder. It makes me want to keep it in the high revs more now.
