It's starting to get chilly outside...
What is the best way you have found to drive your S when it's cold out, but still stay warm? It was 40 degrees when I left for work this morning! It's only September, I'm not putting my baby away yet!

Crank up the heat and wear a hat. I drove mine off the dealer lot when it was 40 outside. I didn't have a hat, so from the neck down I was toasty but my head was freezing! Of course, that big smile I had probably caused me to loose lots of heat!
Important message: Don't drive the S in the snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had mine out last night. It was probably about 60 at the time. I had the heat at full throttle and just played with the settings to see which was best. I can tell you that one of the settings will burn your feet while your head is freezing. I had the top down and windows down too. Had the official S2000 ball cap on and a Cleveland Browns sweatshirt. The Lexan wind blockers that MajorHavoc sells really help elminate the wind on the neck.

Germ, I hear you man! It's been chilly in the morning lately. I'll drive the Honda until it snows and the roof is always down on the way to/from work - unless it's raining. I put the heater on the hottest setting and blow it out the middle part of the car. If it's REALLY cold I'll blow it just out the vents and keep my hands up higher on the wheel. A Rick's/Mingster/Various others wind deflector really helps, as do Major Havoc's seat blocker thingies. I never wear a hat, but do have a leather coat with a pretty high collar that I flip up to keep the back of my neck warm. After about mid-October gloves are a must. By December when I get to work the top of my head is pretty numb, but I'm AWAKE!!
Good luck! Drive fast, take chances!

Maybe I'm missing something.... but why not just bite the bullet and put the top up? The car is just as beautiful with it up, IMHO. Makes the drive more enjoyable to me on the already too cold New England nights. I do wish I lived in a climate where I didn't have to even think about the top though...

It's not that the performance changes (enought that you'd notice on the way to work) it's just the personality of the car and the feeling I get from driving top down. When the top is up I may as well be driving almost anything else out there....

To me it's a totally different car with the top up and I only have it up if it's raining too hard not to, or when my wife "want's to look good" when we get someplace...
