There is also another Best Motoring video of the ITR that beat a S2000 and the Boxster-S (in that order)
Mainly the ITR was bogging down the S2K progress though.
Statistics will clearly show that the S2000 will be superior to the ITR in a track.
250hp FR(front engine rear wheel) vs 200hp FF (front engine front wheel)
However what the Best Motoring Videos reveal about the racing characteristics of S2000, is that vs other cars of its class(250hp 200SX, 252hp Boxster-S), if it is trailing from off the line, it will be very difficult for the S2000 to overtake opposition. Once in front though...bye bye...

I don't have any video's, but my dad slowly drove away from my ITR in his S2000 when we drag raced about 7 times one day.
I am not sure how the ITR is supposed to handle so well... it seems like crap compared to the S2000 (IMHO).
I would love a S2000 4 seater as a kid hauler!
haven't taken the ITR to the track, but a 2 mile 10 turn course is supposedly about 2-3 faster in the S2000 like the other guy posted

Two absolute different cars in different class ... I know, I know that it's all over the streets but. One is an FF and the other is an FR. The FF requires less skill to handle and master while the FR is the opposite. Proven likewise, both have their PROs and CONs.
Damn, I wonder how many times this topic has been discussed. Kinda sick of looking at it? I sure am ... And yes, it will be a good idea to get your hands on the 1999, 2000 and 2001 issues of Best Motoring. Really answers alot of questions that need to be pondered upon. Refer to vtec.net on how to getting these VCDs.

There's a 2001 Type R in the same class we race the S2K.
We can do low 1:16s and the Type R can manage 1:18s flat.
Now for SoloX or tight tracks the story could be different.
