Mileage and the S2000, How many kays are too many?
I am genuinely interested in what owners opinions are as regards to the above topic International Communities/ Australian S2000 owners: thread below
My thoughts are, that as some of our S2000's are now getting on up to 4 years "young", this topic is or has become relevant.
When I lived in the USA for 3 years my experience was that many of my US friends didnt seem to be too overly concerned with excess mileage on their vehicles. I assumed it was because of the greater distances travelled in getting somewhere. That this was generally a way of life, just like owning many vehicles was a new thing to me in the States, as I had not grown up with this notion.
In Australia the general feeling that I have experienced all my life was that to on sell your vehicle before it hit the magic 100k mark. This has been largely instigated by the dealers of second hand cars, and so a nation grows up to believe that this is true. I might add that the tax laws help this along as well.
Just like in Japan 30k kms is the rule of thumb (mostly governed by law I understand). Hence our Jap import market.
I am not familiar with any of the other countries so I would love input from abroad.
Thanx in advance, for any feedback. Please Vote and submit your comments
