Outside is it louder than single exhausts? I had a 63mm T1R with test pipe and I didn't mind the loudness. It is easy to hide from cops also because it is quiet at about 2.5krpms.

I think just about any single will be louder then the invidia outside the car although now with a testpipe, I'm going to get my dB meter to see because I kind of doubt it now
And yes it is a DIY job as long as you have some liquid wrench, a 14mm socket with a nice long wrench, and a jack + jackstands.

i'm literally a pro at removing and reinstalling exhausts now that I've done it 3 times in the past month (due to parents wanting me to quiet down the car). xviper has a detailed writeup somewhere, but i'll make it quick-->
-drive your car around then let it sit for about an hour (so it'll be easier to remove the bolts)
-stretch your arms, neck and back
-benchpress
-dumbbell curl
-put on some gloves and LONG SLEEVES
-jack up your car on the right side (make sure your gas tank isn't full or else it will spill out the side)
-unbolt the rail holding up the rear part of the exhaust
-unbolt the 3 bolts that hold the exhaust to the catalytic converter (difficult because of awkward positioning)
-grease up inside the holes on the rubber hangers with some WD-40 or CRC
-use all your might to stretch out the hangers while pulling out the exhaust
-make sure your legs are ready to catch the exhaust so that the exhaust doesn't crush you
