The reason I'm asking is because the slot in the center console fits a pack of cigarettes perfectly. Don't know if anyone else noticed. But if you insert a pack of cigarettes sideways into the slot the top is almost flush with the arm rest. It doesn't interfere with shifting at all!!! Coincidence? Or another secret scheme by the tobacco company to use the high profile nature of our vehicle as rolling advertisement?!

I'm sure it's a coincidence, otherwise our cars would have the ashtray and lighter option as standard.

It's a perfect, snug little fit for my crack pipe and torch.

 

Fits my garage door opener and flushes with the console perfectly. The guy must have work for a garage door opener creating tobacco company where nokia phones and crack pipes are very popular.

Might not be too bad with a responsible smoker. My MR2 was previously owned by a smoker, it did smell when I got it but a couple applications of Febreze nuked that. There is a light burn mark on the seatbelt as well but it doesn't bother me.
