Default Intake Question

Quick question, is it worth to get a cold air intake from ebay which is 40 dolalrs. I've seen the aem intakes but they range over 200. How much power would i be looking at with that type of intake. Has anyone bought that 40 dollar intake. Is there even a difference in performance, they both look the same. Thanks

For $40, do you really believe someone took the time to properly engineer an intake for the s2000, in terms of proper fit, or maximum flow characteristic? I'd be skeptical.

Keep an eye open in the marketplace, used CAIs come up frequently. Get a decent deal on a quality brand, you'll be happier.

The old saying "you get what you pay for" may apply here. I don't know the CAI you are speaking of but if it's like the AEM product ,I recall some time ago a discussion about it. Quality of fit and finish would be high on my list of concerns.

All in all you shouldn't expect to "gain" much power per say from a CAI. What will be more realistic is reduced heat soak, appearance, and acoustic pleasure
