Intake/Exhaust Intake/Exhaust
I just want some opinions. I want to put an intake or exhaust on my car soon. I just want to know which you guys would recommend me doing first. I don't want you to tell me which one makes better h.p. per dollar becaus i think that's obvious. Also, if you say exhaust I'd like to hear which one you think I should go with (in the 1600 dollar and below price range) and why. Don't worry about which intake because I'm kinda brand loyal to AEM. Also, for what its worth I plan an going supercharged, probably Vortech but I can always sell the intake when I get it. Thanx

Exhaust.... for under $1600. hmmmmm
Spoon for single exhaust (LOUD... plus more hp)
Mugen for dual (no louder than stock... just a better tone)
-OR-
HKS for dual (best compromise... a little heavier than a single but a lot quieter)
But it always ends up being a personal preference... I like to have conversations in my car above 80 with the top down! I don't know if you could do that with a single exhaust.

If you don't have the money, put the catback exhaust on first then drive around with it. You might find that you already have the correct powerband to suit your driving. Getting the headers later is more appropriate than getting it done the other way round.
