Intake
hi,
I want to buy an intake. I don't really care about hp as long as i'm not losing any. I just want it to sound louder. Is there a way it can sound louder with a filter change only?
thanks

Dropping in a K&N filter did nto change the sound at all for me. I think you need something like the AEM V2 for an agresive intake sound. I have mine, just waiting for spring to install it

Take off the cover to the airbox and listen to see how it sounds. It may bog off the line a bit more due to heatsoak but you'll get an idea of what an intake might sound like. Metal intakes will be a bit louder and resonate more than the stock rubber intake tube.

I'm not sure what type of sound you are looking for, but just so you know and won't be disappointed poissibly, the AEM V2 on the S2K does not sound like the typical cold air intake with the air intake whistle that it makes on every other car that I had a cold air intake on. Instead it makes the motor have more of a deeper growl, but no loud whistling noises . Just an observation that I was suprised to see when I first installed it.
