Default Insurance Question

Around here soft top convertibles are rated as more expensive to insure because of the soft top and thier help in making the car that much easier to steal stolen ,anyhow after talking with my dads gf who used to be an Insurance rep...she seemed to think if I was to add a hardtop my Insurance company might classify it differently? What'd guys think?

Adding a hardtop makes no difference.
