interestingly enough my S is about $300 every 6 months CHEAPER then my 98 Prelude was.
Interesting........ My insurance is also cheaper than when I used to have my '01 prelude.... I thought the S would be more expensive because it was brand new and a lot more expensive than the prelude..

why would the lotus be cheaper? that just doesn't make sense to me.
History, the car has a history of biting mediocre drivers.

The Lotus is as tail happy as any AP1, but the people who buy lotus's (loti), are usually enthusiests who know how to handle oversteer, while there are kids buying AP1s, that barely know how to drive stick, much less a rear wheel drive roadster.

MY06 and beyond have had this rawness completely removed with VSA, but the insurance company still sticks it to me every 6 months. And of course there are still idiots asking how to disable ABS and bragging about how they turn VSA off as soon as they start the car. These are the guys running our rates up...

Your statement has A LOT of unsubstantiated opinions.

Bottom line is that the production numbers of a Lotus is a fraction of the S and that the amount of time the Lotus actually spends on the street is substantially less because majority of owners use it as a weekend driver and not a Daily.
