Default Installed AEM CAI yesterday!! AWESOME!!!!

Installed AEM CAI yesterday and I have to say it's definately worth the money I paid for!!!

Gone is the big ugly stock air box which is replaced by red
AEM CAI!

VTEC is definately more pronouced and the roaring sound of the engine is incredible with AEM especially in the mid range RPM (4500-6000) kewl huh?

The guys from the performance shop said that with the BYPASS VALVE you get 1-2 more horses. Can anyone verify this if this true??

Welcome aboard the AEM Express . The whistle at idle is normal so don't go nuts looking for an air leak. My experience shows the bypass leads to a 1-2 HP drop not gain (disturbance of air flow). But if your araid of driving through a deep puddle or live in Hawaii (LOL) you might want it. Now that you have the CAI of choice you may notice that big ugly chassis member in front of the motor.......I did. You might want to now dress up the engine compartment a bit:

I did and I am now known at both my shop and dealer as an enthusiast. Amazing the difference when you know your car and when you don't.

I installed mine about 1 month ago and also installed the RM Racing front frame cover. It will need some modification to fit around the intake though. Also, they ship it with 5/16"x1" screws which are a pain in the @$$ to fish through the 3 1/2" hollow tube frame. I bought 5/16"x4" lag bolts with 1 1/2" washers so I could do it by hand without jacking the car.
Also, I used a Dremmel tool with router attachment and multipurpose bit to cut the aluminum. Here's a pic:

Can you get the AEM without the stickers all over it? I would wan't mine plain, nothing to disturb the finish.

It comes with the stickers on them. The silver sticker below the AEM is a typical warning label and can be removed. The AEM letters can probably be removed as well. May need some Goo Gone or similar product to get the adhesive off but would not seem difficult or impossible.

Where does the AEM grab air from? In front of the AC condenser or one of the inlets on the front bumper? I'd love to see a pic of that if someone has one.
