Inspection Woes
Just had an unpleasant experience while getting my S2K inspected. Don't know how it's done in other places, but here in NJ, they open your hood before doing the actual emissions testing, so being aware of that, I made a special point to tell the guy doing my car that because it had an aluminum hood, that he should drop it from chest height, not push it closed by hand. He gave me a look like "this asshole is telling me how to close a hood?". So I go off to the little waiting area where you can watch your car go on the dyno, and I see Mr. Inspection guy put the hood down and then start pushing it with his hand to latch it, I freak out and run back to try and stop him, by the time I'd gotten around the equipment blocking my view, he had it closed and latched, no visible bends in my hood, thank goodness.
Anyone else had the misfortune of a state worker potentially damaging his/her car?
