Inside rear tire wear?
I just wanted to get some input because I haven't owned a rear wheel drive sports car before this and I'm not used to the tire wear I seem to be experiencing.
I don't have the stock tires on. I'm using Kuhmo's. I hadn't noticed the baldness of my rear tires until I took one of them off recently to get a wheel repaired. The strange thing is that the outside of the rear tires looks pretty good and seems to have a lot of tread life left, but the inside part looks to be close to bald. Is this normal due to the camber settings in the rear? My front tires seem fine on the inside and outside portions. It's just the rears.
Is this Typical?

Not really. You changed the wheel height, width and overall weight. Depending on the factory camber settings, the rear may have more negative camber than the front.

I believe this is pretty normal. After 15,000 miles my stock rear tires w/ the stock rims had the same problem. My car is not lowered either. I only noticed this because I was installing my aftermarket rims. The metal wires were somewhat protruding.
I would advise everyone to check the inside wall of their tires after alot of miles.

I've got 10,000 miles on the car and about 8,000 miles on these particular Kuhmo tires. It seems a little early to be bald. But I do drive like a maniac, so who knows.
