I say being a jerk, people have a real problem in America getting angry on the road. I say why bother with it? Just let him pass or whatever, it is not worth the risk. That guy your pissing off might be a guy who is about to go over the edge with a firearm in his car. You never know.. and personally I wouldnt want to find out just because it is fun.
Did you guys saw on TV about highway shooting in LA the last couple months ?
Too many morons with guns in their cars, I would not risk my life for some stupid road games some drivers are playing.

We all run into these people, where i live it is even worse.Try passing some a$$ ina full size pickup!! Remember people ,these are the guys that get your tag # and key your car "for no apparent reason" Can't win- I have been know to pull over and phone a friend and take a break.Feels good to be the bigger person and own an"S" all at the same time.

It is not about letting somebody pass or not pass, every once in a while you get somebody on the road who rides your butt for no reason when you are going ten miles over the speed limit in the slow lane, or they are going slow so you pass them with the cruise but all of a sudden they gun it so you just can't go about your merry way, only to slow down and impede you a mile ahead. People who mess with you for god knows what reason. You not trying to be a dink to them as much as just get the hell away from them and go about your business.
You are driving along minding your own business not messing with anyone and someone decides to mess with you a little and the fact that your car is so much quicker than the average PREVENTS them from messing with you and it makes THEM mad that were were not able to set the rules that govern you on the road. Ok now they are mad that your car is faster. Do you just think to your self "whew, I got by that guy" or do you actually get a little thrill out of passing when they are trying to prevent it?
That is the key point. Someone wants to bend you to his will but your machine forbids him from doing so. Now if the guy tries to hold you off (remember the guy is trying to impede your progress) shows no emotion you get a little charge out of passing him. Replay that last sentence it but this time as you are passing this guy who is trying to stop you (and you are not messing with him just trying to get by) he is visably agitated that he is powerless to stop you, do you get more of a kick than if he sits emotionless.
Toying with them after the fact is being kind of a dink. Just my social experiment question of the day on a boring day at work.

I've experienced what you have and about a hundred different variations of the same senario.
The answer is "no". Toying with people on the road under any situation is just plain stoopid IMO. Especially just because you have the faster car.
I think the only reason you justify doing it is because you think that what you are doing is really making them upset. You think this because you KNOW that if it was YOU being toy'd with it would probably drive you to road rage.
Plain and simple...stop doing it. Your not the "traffic sheriff" and it's not your responsiblity to teach people lessons.
Your gonna find that you are going to always run into all types of drivers that piss you off.. Just let them be... and move on.
Your driving style is the kind that in the immediate future may seem safe and within limits..... but eventually lead to trouble. Your "instigating" road rage from another driver... Eventually you are going to run into someone who is not rational to your driving etiquette and may push you to act unsafe.... or eventually you will run into someone with a faster car and you'll be the one being toy'd with..
Drive safe..

Saint Paul, Minnesota has a lot less problems with gangters, that why you can have fun at the expense of other drivers. If you are doing it in LA, you may had been shot many times already.
People waiting for order at fast food got shot, people waiting at bus stop got shot ... in LA all the times.

If your already questioning your motivation for doing it....then common sense should tell you to stop doing it...
It's like listening to loud music.. Enjoy it cause you like the music.... don't enjoy it because everyone else around you doesn't...

Ummm....interesections are designed for maximum traffic flow. My guess is this is why the intersection was designed with the lane ending PAST the light, so moving traffic can get by. As far as passing, it is his damn fault that he is driving too slow in the left lane. On the freeway, there are usually signs that say "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT" those are there for a reason. You are not being a jerk. He is the one being an A-hole by try to keep up with you....real mature. Maybe he just really likes your car and wants to be as close as possible to it!
