Most welcome Bill. I think that cover will be fine, if you do end up with metal shavings or similar I'd throw a tarp on the cover, just to be safe.

Agreed. That's why I'm going with the five layer cover instead of the satin. It should be thick enough that I won't need to make a blanket sandwich.

I believe the most important factor to prevent scratching with any cover you get is to have the car and cover clean to begin with. I also "roll" in on and off. Avoid pulling or dragging the cover into position. I do it a lot so there is a learning curve. I have developed a kind of lift and "snap" rotate the cover letting the cover roll up without touching the car. I do it about 3 times and it is done.
I would have no qualms about covering the cover with a tarp as long as I had a helper to keep the thing from sliding around.
