Bump: I've updated Part 4 of this write-up with some examples of where my analysis assumptions have proven to be, shall we say, not fully justified.
Spoiler: While this new info weakens my claim of strict bounds in Part 2, I think the basic "best estimates" in Part 1 are still good approximations.

MY00 VIN #0065 has popped up again in the salvage auctions.
Its first (?) wreck, about two years ago, at 54,795miles:

And just 861 miles later (sporting new rims, tails, shift knob, etc):

It's still the earliest U.S. car that I have direct evidence of.
