What do I do about Ins. I was just dropped by safeco. To many mods. on the car.
I was told about a compny called Hagerty (sp) they were all over it, going to ins. it for 100,000...........then with the extra forms and more pics, they found out that I had Nitrous, they dropped me like a hot rock!!! I have now not a clue on what to do.
Does anybody have any idea's I have never had an accident, it is not a daily driver, and I have only one ticket on my record for 9 over.
I also heard about a company by the name of AOunderwriters. I'm working in Iraq, so I e-mailed them with no response. I tried again, and the same, no response. I am at the end of my rope, Please HELP!!!!!!!

the whole nitrous thing shoots up your risk so much they don't want to deal with you. While realistically you may not be a risk, the perception the insurers have of you is that you will cost them a bundle...eventually.

And I agree with all that. I would hate to have to remove the Nos. just to get Ins., but that might be the only way. I think that I might have to start my own thread to get some more options.
Anybody else out there with a thought????

As I understand it, it has to do with being sued. If you own a house, extra cars, etc that someone could take from you if you were to be sued than extra coverage is better. In fact, if you have a house and stuff, get an umbrella policy (covers you for $1mil beyond your other insurances), but if you live in an apartment and own a TV and couch then dont bother being covered like you own a house.
