agree with all the immediate drivers -- many of the statements seem logical to me, though i can't say for sure they are right or wrong .... but the fact that nearly every user's manual i've ever read suggests NOT warming up on idle is reason enough for me. maybe you are just saving gas and the environment, or there is a real engineering reason ... either way, i'll follow the advice of the guys (and girls) that built my car.
