It's nice to have people that are like-minded...all I've been getting from friends and family:

"It's too expensive. It's a lot of money. It's dangerous. Where are you going to keep it?" etc. etc. They just don't understand...

You know what? You only live once. If you want it and you can comfortably afford it, get it. It'll put a smile on your face every time you get in it and to me, thats very practical. No need to be conservative and kick yourself in the ass later on for not going for it.

It's just a car. It'll be just find outside in the elements. Keep it waxed and it'll be fine. All of us car freaks feel we need to tuck our cars in at night, but it's just because we're psycho.

I've only done it a few times and *think* I've gotten good deals...but for some reason, I can't be objective about this car and think it'll hamper my negotiating!
This may be too late, but just keep in mind that you can always go to another dealer.

Well, the 2002 that I was looking at just didn't do it for me...it was very dirty inside and out and that really gave me a bad impression.

The ultimate irony is that while driving by another dealer, I saw a 2003 GPW S2000...and I ended up driving that one home!

I'm very happy with the deal I got, it's a certified used Honda...had a little more than 4K miles and one owner.

I got to check to see if any spring spacers are still with the car, cause the ride seems a little more harsh than the 2 other S's I drove...but it's in perfect shape, very, very low miles...and I spent so much less, that I don't even have to wait to order a new hardtop!

I've been out driving all day today - which is why it took me so long to update.

Yippee for you AJ!! I'm sure you'll be very happy with your new S2000. So, did it already have a hardtop? Only a little over 4k miles? Wow, that is low. I already put that on my '05 since November.

Now why not splurge $20 more and join S2ki? Then you can upload your pictures to your s content.

<edit> I reread your post and see that you meant that you saved so much you don't have to wait to order a new hardtop. They are hard to get a hold of. I waited 3 months for mine.

Patti - does California actually have hearts available on their license plates? Nice!

Yes. Some people may think it's lame but I like it.
