im interested in this s2k
im new to the forum and need some advice on trying to lower the price of this s2k
its a black 2001 s2k w/ 70,306 and the dealers asking price is 20,888
(price is too high in my opinion for that mileage).

how much haggle room is there?

finance or purchase?
i always walk in w/ briefcase of cash and say my max # and state that only so much will be on title..
either they do it or walk out..
best bet for a finance.. is walk in w/ few other people.. show that u know ur stuff about the car... say what ur willing to pay (go around 1500 lower than ur max) and have them laugh... WALK OUT
they will come after you with a counter offer.... Say
no.. i found one down the street for less ill just pay them.. Then he will come back with another lower counter offer.. lets say
u say 17k
he comes back w/ 19k
u keep walking he'll come back w/ 18,5
then u say.. well u go 17,750.. and we got a deal..more than not theyll go for it
its just common sense/bluffing and calling the bluff.. alot of dealers wont haggle in that case WALK theirs always a better deal out ther
ESPECIALLY ON A 2001.. ive seen them FLAWLESS for 16/17/18
they have plastic back window.. and carpet around knob.. so talk "trash" about the car in front of guy and theyll go down.. u gotta remember prices are there for dumb people to pay...if they wanna make a sale theyll work w/ you
