Default im buying a s2k! :) tiny bit of advice please!?

right im in the uk, and im picking up my s2k on saturday from a dealer. link below.
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...ge/2?logcode=p

But my questions are? will this car really have done such little miles? i know it said hpi check and full service history, but its a import, and when it got shipped here and converted from killometers to miles, will the clock counter of been reset? its a 1999 Treg after all.
Also on the parkers new and used guide, it tells me to "Be aware as some japanese imports have sub-standard spec" what does that mean? does it mean that it wont be running 240bhp like the uk one? like a watered down version?

And lastly, is it possible to check for cracked retainers whle looking over car? or is it a top off job?

Amassive thanks you to anyone who can help! or be bothered to! thanks!

Don't know about the rest, but I'm don't think the car needed to be converted from miles to km when imported. My 2003 has both m and km setting on it so that I can change the setting with a click of a button.

P.S. I'd be careful when checking it because it looks to be fairly modified. It has an aftermarket exhaust, bodykit, and painted rims. I would suggest to bring it to a mechanic before you buy it / bring a mechanic with you.

Good Luck

I am not sure if overseas models had MPH as an option on the gauge cluster so i cant comment on that. The car does look pretty clean but also has some modifications. If you like it than it wont really matter
As for the miles, it is not uncommon for s2k's to be peoples weekend cars and have low miles. Especially if it came from a country that is small or has small roads that I am sure it wasnt driven a lot.
