So I am trying to decide on what year to get. After owning my previous cars for a little bit, i would always learn interesting and new features about newer or older models that owuld make me wish i could have purchased a different year. So i am wondering if you guys could do it over again would you buy a different year like say a 2003 since it was the last AP1 and had the 9,000rpm redline? or would you simpley buy a newer one with features like VSA and drive by wire throttle...etc or keep your current one.

I would do the same thing. Get the new model that was available when I was getting the S (for me it was 2004 even though I picked her up in 05). If I were in the market now I would pick up an 05, cuz I dont really care for DBW or the VSA

I had my 03 for just over a year. It was fun, but I really wanted an AP2 just about the whole year I had it. I wish I got an 06 right off the bat.

07. couldn't be happier. i drove about 20 s2ks with an assortment of all MYs......loved 06 most but 07 had just become available so why not get the new one.
