If U have HKS exhaust ?
Am considering purchasing HKS exhaust. A. does it have any drone at any RPM? B. lighter than OEM ? C. is it louder than OEM ? (I don't want loud - loud) A little louder than OEM is OK. D. How much did you pay? E. What vendor do you recommend ? F. does it have a rep for losing HP? G. are you overall happy with it? What model do you have ? believe I have read there are two different ones ? Thanks in advance.

D. $500ish. don't remember exactly. bought it used

A. Mine has some drone around 3k rpm (not too bad).
B. Slightly lighter than stock (only a few pounds).
C. It is louder than stock, but it has a very distinctive and pleasant sounding tone.
D. I paid about $700 including tax for a new one.
E. I bought from Evasive
F. I've read that some individuals have lost power, but mostly no gain.
G. I'm satisfied with the exhaust. I think it's the best sounding exhaust for the S2000. I have the HKS Hi-Power (a few months old). I believe the older HKS exhausts have two holes in each tip (like silencer holes).

A.) slight droning around 3000 rpm, but its bearable..
B.) its a bit lighter than OEM, not featherweight light
C.) its louder than oem (its resonated) , but i love the sound of mine.
D.) $720 shipped new
E.) got mine from evasive as well, on their group buy
F.) even if it did, you can't tell the difference unless charted on dyno
G.) very very happy, but then again, i wanted a bit louder so i went TP

I got mine for $760 shipped from Evasive, brand new. Honestly I have never heard a better sounding exhaust for this car. The exhaust note is amazing. I wanted an exhaust that was loud enough to be heard, but not so loud that people would make faces at me when I drove past. It is definitely louder than stock, but sometimes you can't even tell with the top up.
There is some drone around 3-4k, but you should expect that if you're going to keep your catalytic converter. I honestly don't mind it, and it just reminds me that I have an exhaust system. In essence, you're paying for sound so don't get mad if you hear it. I would say there is little to no performance gains from it...but most people on this board will tell you not to go with this particular exhaust system if you're just looking for numbers. I highly recommend it though. Good luck

1. yea, same as above, drone around 3000rpm. My girlfriend hate it, but i love it.
2. I don know.
3. Yes, its louder, but in a good way. I think it got little louder as it's aging, but tone got more distinctive.
4. Used for $450 shipped.
Just get this exhaust, it looks good and sounds good.
