I had turned on my car after finishing a game of basketball and being anal, I always have to put a towel on the bottom and back part of my seat so I don't get sweat all over it. Well I got in and sat down but moved the towels in the process. So I pushed up using my feet and legs to lift my body off the seat a bit (my left foot positioned under the pedals and my right foot positioned against the inner right side of the footwell) and lo' and behold, my car shut off. Shut off like I turned it off myself. I thought it was pretty weird and wondered what on earth I did? It's probably something stupid but I was just curious as this never happened to me before... in any car. Oh and my hands were re-arranging the towels and my legs were not propped up against anything in the car. So the only thing touching anything were my feet? Odd!

Hmmmm that is strange. You sure you didn't accidentally take your foot off the clutch after turning it on, assuming it was in gear?

Probably knee'd the key. Happens all the time to people autocrossing. Did you have a key fob attached?

Nice, I have to go through this process after every soccer practice/game. Never turned off the car though.
