The only reason i would wait for the 06 is because i'm going to lose so much money because the car is going to be a year old the day i bring it home. Other than that i'm down for getting the 05.

"what if there is no 06 and when you look for your color and whatnot you won't be able to find it because they're selling like hotcakes because they're discontinued. So what do you think i should do? get an 05 now, or wait until september and see what happens with honda? thanks.

I would wait and see what the dealer will offer on MY 06. You can probably make a better informed decision when you compare the two for yourself. You can't go wrong with that. If you still like the MY 05 with a better price reduction, go for it but at the same time if you like the MY 06 with new features, you might go that route. It is always best to wait to make the most informed decision from my perspective. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure i'm going to wait it out, if there's a new color that would be awesome, the head rest speakers are probably going to end up coming out for spods anyway. I think the smart thing to do is to wait and see what honda does with the 06' (given that they actually come out)

You and I are in the same boat. My lease is up in September and I have already driven the S and compared it to the 350Z. So, now that I know I am getting the S I am debating on whether to wait. I am also going to lease which factors in to it. I told the dealer last week I wanted a Silverstone with Red/Black that was not driven. He said I could get one that is being built and slated for delivery in three weeks if I go ahead and put money down........very tempting.

I bought my 04 last Nov. I got a great price and could have had any color I wanted. Maybe this depends on where you live.
The s2k has one of the best depreciation rates in the auto world if you are worrying about selling an 05 vs 06. Consider this when you pay more for an 06 as maybe in the end it is a wash relative to paying less for an 05.
The s2k had or probably still has the highest (if not then one of the highest) customer satisfaction in the auto world .
In the end don't base this choise on $$ as to me these differences are small. Buy what you want and enjoy the car.
