I can vouch for that dam crank pulley. We used a 4 ft pole on the end of each wrench and it still took a good bit of pulling to get off. I broke the head of my torque wrench the first time I tried and that was at 250 ft/lbs +. I estimate we had nearly 400 ft/lbs on it before it broke loose.
PS
I too love my S/C and dont regret it at all. I especally love the little whine coming from under the hood begging me to open it up.

[B]Not trying to hijack your thread but do you supercharged guys feel that upgrading the brakes is not necessary? I see a lot of people with sc's but are still running on

Modify,
Correct me if I am wrong but wouldnt you have to have a larger contact patch or adjust ABS to affect the braking power.
Assuming no ABS for a second once you lock up the brakes your tires and their friction to the ground are what is slowing you down. Of course how fast you can get the wheel stopped with the brak could play a roll. High friction pad and strong lines to hole the presure.
I am not sure how ABS plays into this but it pulses so fast now that I dont know if make any difference at all.
PS
I am once again available if you have found no one for you Alpine test.

How about the stock axle. If you don't do clutch dumps, will the stock rear axles take the extra power?
How much do better/new axles cost?

Jenner has nailed it right on!
As for the diff, if you don't clutch dump, it should be able to take it. It's the sudden shock that harms it the most. In any case, the extra power will still stress the ring and pinion teeth more so you should consider changing the diff fluid more often, maybe annually. Or go with stronger gears like J's racing gears. I've got the 4.44's.
