Ok.

Tellers work 9-6. So your telling me you had 2 part-time jobs? Your 2nd was a night job? Weekend job? The lightbulb in my head says your a waiter or something in the restaurant industry. You know tips are not allowed to be posted on your income when you apply for loans right? So please stop this bs work history of yours.

Floater at a car dealership? I was a salesperson at a car dealership for 1.5 years.. There is no way you had a 2nd job at a car dealership - they only hire full-timers unless you were the front desk secretary..

Dude, the reason we are not putting any money on this is b/c you still have your dignity to prove - not the other way around. Anyone with something right going on upstairs knows that you are lying..

So if you are 21 now, you say you bought a house last year? Last year was when the banks (and still now) were the toughest on handing out mortgages. ESPECIALLY to someone who has only ~3 years of work experience and ESPECIALLY if your last 2 W-9's were different in income.

See, if you were really telling the truth, these puzzle pieces would match up; but they don't. Also, it doesn't help that you are arguing your case to BANKER who deals with this on a regular and consistent basis(me).

I've seen plenty of 20-21 year olds buy a house. 1) either their parents were co-signed as a primary, and were responsible for payments, or 2) it is military personnel who were rejected by my bank but was accepted through their branch's credit union WITH a co-signer and enough liquidated assets to cover their ass incase they miss payments.

You have no collateral, insufficient work history, insufficient credit (7 months of an auto loan is not enough credit for a bank to commit you to a 25+ year mortgage), and the funnest thing is still, you have no proof.

Call me crazy but your arguments/facts are invalid - until you post the PAYMENT receipt with YOUR name as a signer along with your car insurance/payment with YOUR name please do not expect me to respond.

Kids like this make your cars and the entire Honda-crowd bad. Let's save the trash talk until this kid posts facts instead of speculations.. He's got the burden of proof now.

^^ Hey every one thinks hes crazy. But of course he is he was a marine. To be a marine we have to be. Where did u serve man??? I was stationed out of Cali and when i was 20 owned a 98 cobra and a 03 Evo. But going to Iraq every 10 months made we want to give myself something nice. But i would say there are alot of 15-20 year olds out there who make alot of money. I was reading on this 16 year old girl who makes the back grounds for myspace pages. Well she now makes millions a year due to all the advertisers paying her to put up there ads on her website. Crazy right well her mom had to cosign to get her a car at 16.And she made enough to buy a car in cash but it did not matter no credit. But there is more to life than a car. I like to have a total quality of life. I have a ok car a S2000 CR a nice 1000sq apartment. Nice stuff in my place a good amount of savings. And i still go out and have fun with the GF and just got a dog a couple days ago. But Semper FI man i'm a Sgt only been to IRAQ twice and looking to go to Afgan soon

Ah.. the plot thickens.

So you bought a TL when you were 16 then ?? Then had enough equity or let's be bold and assume you paid it off since you are soooo damn successful by 18 correct? Wrong! You can't apply for any credit until you are 18 so there is another lie.

You had a part time job at the dealership? Anything less of sales/service you make no money - also there is no part-time work unless you are a runner/secretary so again wrong. Worked at a bank part-time? So what was your primary job that you switched to? Bank hours are morning to later afternoon, so you work nights now? What job entitles you to ~50k/year at night? Waiting tables?? That throws the mortgage/car payment out the window cause banks don't count your tips as income so your left with ~1500/month (at best) in salary for a bank to work with.

Don't post anymore, you don't even have to admit it. Your a liar and you think you are successful when you are just suckling off your parent's provisions. Don't ever take responsibility for something you did not work for.

---

And Semper Fi Sergeant! I served '06-'08 and got injured. I was in Pendleton and EAS'd at 29 Palms here in Cali too! Got a Scion tC after boot, traded her in 1.5 years ago to a Z and never looked back! Yeah, lotta successful younger kids these days but you'll know them when you see them not like this punk kid. Godspeed to you in Iraq be safe..

My parents bought me my car new 5 years ago. I don't get too many snide comments because though I am 20, I apparently look and act a lot older than I am. I have to say, it is rather embarrassing when people ask me how I went about procuring my car. I am not AS embarrassed anymore because I realize why my parents did this for me.

Many people might call me spoiled, but I think my parents figured that I would take better care of a car that I truly cared about, than if I had a driving appliance and thus it would last much longer. Well beyond the time when I am on their payroll. My parents bought my brother a ford escort new; he did not take the best care of the car, so they didn't want the same thing to happen again.
(Well, they were correct about me taking care of the car. I took the car into the dealer the other day for a 30k mile service and the technicians and service department staff all said they thought the car looked like new, but I digress.)

Anyway, I think the thing I am really trying to say here (though admittedly in possibly a backwards way) is that I think people just need to fully realize and accept that people's living circumstances are different, and possessions don't make the person. Along with that, you can't let other people "tell you" who you are (Daddy's car etc.). Yes, my parents bought my car for me. Yes, my parents are even paying for my tuition at university. Do I feel spoiled? Sometimes, but I also realize and am eternally grateful for what my parents have done and continue to do for me and I realize that I would be nothing without them.

With that being said, does it mean that I am a bad person or a "brat" because of what I have been given? No, at least, I tend and like to think that this is not the case. I look at my situation in life as being the situation into which I was born and not let it effect who I am as a person in a negative way.

(In a nutshell: Possessions don't make the person, and I love my parents)
