People loved the CF AP1 dual exhaust cap too

I'm relatively new to the S2000 aftermarket, and it was just painfully obvious to me in this thread how bandwagon-y it can get sometimes.

To me, both the AP1 CF dual exhaust cap and this one look like they are doing exactly the same thing, just for their respective rear bumpers.

I could understand the single cap for people with single exhausts, but ask yourself....if there were an option of a single that looked like factory (aka no CF), would you choose it over the CF blingin' JDM-ness?

Maybe it just looks tacky? or sh!tty? For the link you posted, the product looks comopletely different. Looks really clean. The ebay auction product just looks slapped on, bad fitment, and has no appeal to it. Has nothing to do with bandwagon bs, no one likes it cause it looks like funky ass. You trying to tell me you don't see a difference?

 

They both look like CF for CF sake... now if it were a single exhaust cap that is ONLY available in CF, I could see the point. Just my opinion I guess. I agree with you, it looks like crap, but IMO so does the AP1 dual cap. I wonder if the AP2 caps would be more popular if a JDM sponsor sold them
