I keep getting this 'high' per se ...
I keep getting this one flashback of the first time I sat in an s2000. It was at a Honda dealer back in 05. It was a 2005 NFR. Inside the showroom. Parked top down. I brought my dad to see it. I told him this is the car I want! Then several months pass, I am now interested in hundreds of other cars. I somehow come back to an S2000 after reading the funny things people have said about your s2000 thread.
Either way, I remember sitting inside. Exploring it. Openining the glovebox and popping the trunk to get a look. Popping the hood and seeing the airbox and engine. Remembering how low it was. How it smelled even! Now when I think about sitting in my S2000, it's not the same. My very first time was special. Now it's great I own one and can take it to other places, but I will always cherish that first time.
Just a story I wanted to share with you guys

I remember my first time sitting in one as well, in fact i ended up buying the first one i ever sat in.
After lots of searching i found a beautiful shape, low mileage 2001 s2000 with the color combo i wanted (berlina black w/ red and black interior).
At first i couldn't believe how small it was inside, and how small the instrument cluster was, but at the same time i knew it was the car for me and i have been very happy with my decision!

I know what you mean. What struck me was really the shape of the windshield--very low and wide. It wasn't the exact car I ended up getting, but sitting in it in the show room that first time, wow. It felt ever owning one would be too good to be true.

The first time I ever saw and sat in an S was in the summer of 00. It was a Silverstone S with black interior. I remember walking in the door and saying DAMN what is that. I walked over did some laps around it sat in it, and played with the interior. Then I got out and realized I was a year out of highschool and there was no way to have it. I walked over picked up the brochure and when walking out the door I said to my gf at the time. I will have one of those someday you wait. If you open the brochure all the way on the back is a poster of a Silverstone S with red interior. It got hung up in my room that day in 00 and it is still hanging today except its in my garage, by MY S2000. I smile everyday knowing its mine most of the time more than once.

Went to the private seller with my friend. Didn't do anything. I didn't even test drive cuz at that time I never have even driven a manual before. Friend did everything, we negotiated the price, then bought it. The car sat in my parking lot for an entire week til I got a chance to start learning stick. Still a good memory though; it was hard to believe that s2k sitting in the parking lot is truly mine at first!
