i have both fake vents cut out whats that on the right?

Default i have both fake vents cut out whats that on the right?
i have the vents cut out and i was afraid rust my occur or damage to whatever the thing is behind the right vent if water gets on it

That's the cold air injection pump. Don't worry about rust - it gets plenty of moisture in any case.

Yup, Rick is right that is the air pump. I removed mine b/c it kept coming on after I put my test pipe on.

what does it exactly do....
inject cold air into what? the interior air flow?

It injects air into the emissions control system to help the catalytic converter warm up faster.
