I HATE DINGS

I HATE DINGS
Yeah I go out to my car today after school and there is a dent the sized of a 50 cent piece on my drivers door. The dent doesn't look like it is creased but it is damn near close ot being a crease. The paint did chip at the top and bottom of the dent and to make matters worse it looks like the person tried cleaning it with their shirt because it is scratched pretty badly all around the dent (my car is black). The dent is on the curved part of the door so I dont know if it can be poped out or not. I dont want a body shop to put filler in my door and I am not sure if it can be poped out to where there is no sign of a dent. This is the seconed time this has happened to me and I have not even had the car a year yet. The first time this had happened to me the dent was way smaller and no paint chip. It was also on the flat part of the door and I remember the guy tellinmg me I was lucky it was not on the curved part because that would be really really hard to get perfect. I dont know what I need to do to get it fixed. What are your suggestions? Just curious how much would a new car door cost?

I suggest seeing what you can do to get it fixed. I do not suggest looking into the replacement of the door, because it would be a waste of money for a little dent. Like you mentioned though, you are lucky that it did not hit on the crease, My car had a door opened on it, and it is right on the crease, right behind the drivers side door, so it is essentially located on two creases. they were talking about re-painting and hammering out etc.
I suggest taking it to the dealer, or a very trusted auto-body shop to be quoted and to see what they can possibly do.

That blows. You also have the worst color for door dings.
I cant stress this enough. BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU PARK> always park next to an island or next to a wall. Scoot over as close to that island or wall as possible.
Almost every car I have owned gets this treatment and I never get door dings.
Just the other day I had to go to the mall to shop. I couldnt find a spot next to an island or a wall so I bailed
