S2000speed...

I got mine at a large Dealership, well the used car division of the dealer at least. A guy traded it in for an Automatic Z and it sat on the lot for a long time. As most dealers do, they were asking too much for the car $30, 500, then winter hit and they dropped it to $28K, then snow hit, then they went down to $25, 148..then Ciccone hit them, and I got it for $23,800 :-)

Patuww..

tax rate for VA is 3.5%. The actual SELLING price of the car was something like 23,622, tax on that comes to $826, brings the total up to $24,448, they basically threw in title and registration for the remaining $52 to get me to $24,500.

I negotiate all my cars off of a OTD model (Out The Door). Meaning I want to know my FINAL price with taxes, tags, title BEFORE I walk intot he finance office. Knowing the price I feel is fair for the car and then working with this model I have always gotten a good deal.

I did not trade in a car, but I did bring my own financing. I always recommend people get approved from a bank or credit union before walking into a dealer.

Within a few weeks Im going to my local bank or credit union to work out a deal. Cant wait.... What should I tell the people when getting price? Should I tell them whats the total with taxes, tag, etc.. then let them know how much Im willing to pay so they consider the offer? Im so confused but anyways Im taking an old family friend that was an automobile consultant and I guess he is pretty good at negotiating for car prices Anyways Ill be asking lots of questions in the forums to get an idea of how to make the best move towards my S.

Congrats Formula.... Hopefully within a few weeks Ill be sharing the feeling and joy the S brings to owners.
