Same. Sold it, bought another car, started dumping money in repairs and was hating myself for selling the S2K. Found myself searching every night for one, until finally found one. I'll maybe have another car next to the S2K, but the S2K isn't leaving

If its paid off then don't even consider selling it. Car sales have picked up and there are good financing deals on new and used cars. Do the math and see if you can afford a small car payment for a DD that is kid friendly. The SC430 and G37 are not great cars for a baby or toddler. It is very inconvenient to place the baby seats in the back and the ride will be uncomfortable for family trips. I know this from experience since I went through what you're going through. A comfortable and reasonable 4 door sedan will make you and your wife happier driving it. Plus safety and crash test ratings for some 4 door sedans are better than the cars you're considering.

Having said this, your situation affirms the idea again that the S is a car for your single drivers without kids, drivers that own other DD's, or drivers that are past the young family stages of life.

My wife and I both own SUVs for our DD because of the weather condition here in MN. We are looking for a week-end fun car when we take our child along say the zoo, movie, dining out, etc...
So you guys thing a car seat in a G37 or SC430 will be silly?

Thats one of the reasons my wife and I left Burnsville and moved to California. Actually have perfect weather pretty much all year instead of two weeks/year. No mosquitoes, biting flies, ticks, fleas, etc. Taxes went down, believe it or not, and cars don't rust to pieces. They don't rust at all. Not uncommon to have 20 year old cars on the road, no problem. Downside is the politicians are even worse than in MN.

Get an S and screw the kids. They will be gone super fast and they will want to do their own thing alot with friends. Use the SUVs for family stuff; good cars to get trashed.

Hah hah, I live in Burnsville right now, Sunset Lake. How small this world is sometime. Yeah MN is becoming a nanny state more and more each day. Very soon they will tell us we can only have two cars per household because of pollution or must own a hybrid.

This isn't too classy IMO. Once you agree to a sale and take a deposit the buyer is working details on their end. I understand this is emotional to the OP but business is business, not emotion. I'm not judging you Chris_Lum just adding some color to your comment.

To the OP. I say go through with the sale since you agreed and took a deposit. You can then take the time to search for another S2k if you miss yours that much. Take this as an opportunity to find one in a different color, try a different model year, etc. I did this too when I sold my '05 that I bought new. It started to kill me after a couple days and I bought an AP1 just a couple months after at 1/2 the price I sold my Ap2 for.

^^ I believe the sale has long since completed and so the OP probably doesn't need anymore advice on what to do about selling.

I sincerely hope he isn't still ill. That's a long time to be sick without seeing a doctor.

Was on Birnamwood Ct by golf course. Moved in 88. California is vying with NY to be king of nanny. They tell you what you can't eat (foie gras), plastic bags are a no no, in some counties you can't declaw your cat, concealed carry can be very difficult to get, and of course in Davis you can't buy ammo or possess, transport, buy, sell, trade, or acquire nuclear weapons.

Nice to see folks recognizing that nannies can also be men. (or that men can also be nannies)

Role reversal from the traditional roles is not a bad thing. I agree. I would have loved the opportunity to raise my daughter and spend the kind of time her Mom did with her.

Now that's she's grown up what do I do....I get something else to baby.
