you don't really know how the S was impacted... what speed was the object coming at?

Not to rain on your parade, but this is kind of irrelevant without speed and angle data. This could have been a 5 mph impact, for all you know. Granted, I know the S holds up quite well in impact tests, and not just for a convertible, either. Just making a point...

See that is kind of frightening THAT much happened from 7 mphs

Oh well... we all know our doors and every other panel around the car is super soft

I can testify to the strength of our doors. I got hit by a truck doing 50+ in my passenger door. (Idiot ran the stoplight) The outside of the door was horrible, and the window was busted, but the inside looked as if it hadnt even been hit. I felt a lot better about the strength of it, after the anger has decreased.
