I was driving my new '02 out of dealership today, and I was struck...

I totally agree with Sebring Silver. The info I've got from the selfless people who post on this board is worth 10x it's weight in gold and I am very grateful.
I wonder though....
How much extra cash has everyone spent as a result of this board too? I know that I found out about cool stereo mods, and body kits, and tires on this site. Without that info, I would still have the same 2000 I drove off the lot, and some extra cash. Not that I'm complaining though, don't get me wrong no one forced me to throw money at my car. I love doing it.

great post Brad. I'm still a little choked up aftre reading it.
This IS a great forum, and sure there are some hotheads, but after all we are car enthusiasts, and as such we should have strong opinions about our cars (especially the S2000!)
BTW, If not for the all-red interior on the new S, I thing the Sebring Silver with the OLD red interior would have been just spectacular.
Too bad, though...

Great people like Sebring Silver really make S2000 International stand out from the other boards out there.
Congratulations on your new S2000!
I thought of Obi-Wan warning Luke of the Dark Side of the Force when I read that passage.
But you are right about it.
Werever there is light there is also darkness.

yet strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers."

Congratulations on your new S2000!
Yet, I have also discovered a dark and disturbing side to this forum.

Brad, clever title--sucked me right in. But I wasn't disappointed--good job of writing.
Although I admit there are a few people on this forum who come up a little short on the courtesy scale, there aren't nearly as many as I've seen in other forums.
I don't read the street encounters threads because I'm not interesting in endangering my life and that of others on the street--that's why we have track meets and autocrosses.
