Default I am going to get a Honda S2000

Alright here is the downlow. I am currently in South Korea due to being in the military. I am coming home (Indiana) in July 06. I was wondering if there is a difference between the 2000, 2001, or 2002 models? Should I spend 18 -19k ont he 2000/2001 or spend 23k on the 2002 or 2003? Just curious if anyone could help let me know.

General opinion, get the 02 or 03. Glass rear window and some other additions compared to the 00/01.

As above, the 02/03 have some nice improvements. Also, you can probably get a 02/03 closer to $20k-21K

Where is the best place to get a used Honda S2000? Is there somewhere online or should I go to a CarMax?

Good question, there are plenty of used S2000 in the market at this point. In fact, Autotrader.com has a few of them

Things to look for, make sure the guy/gal have performed all the maintenance. S2000 is very reliable sports car but things could go wrong if it wasn't taken care of properly. Well anycars for that matter.

Differential, transmission, brake, alignment and tires. Usual suspects comes to my mind.

Hmmm, this is a good thread. Any of you out there that want to upgrade to the latest year model, just let me know. I'll make you an offer on your current ride. I'm sure many of you want to try out a different color combination to see if it's faster or attracts more looks.

alright so an 02 is my best bet... the reason i want a used one is because when i get out the army i will have approximately 37 or 38 thousand in the bank... i can get a 2002 s2000 and a 1999 escalade with that money... or should i just get the 2006 honda s2000???? any food for thought???

Reenlist ... you can use your re-up bonus to buy a 2006 and keep the rest of your cash!
