Hypothetical Driving Situation
Let's suppose you're driving in a very spirited manner on an unfamiliar road. A huge but just follow along.
Here's a drawing of the road:
The red line is the path that you take through the first corner.
Let's suppose that the posted warning for the first corner is 35 mph, and you take the corner at 65-70 mph and at the end of the red line you're doing about 70-75 mph when all of a sudden you have an "Oh $h!t" moment as you realize there is a 25 mph corner coming up that you can't take at more than 50 mph. What do you do in this situation?

It would depend on whats around you I would say no brake( if your still in the first corner) spin the car on the second turn and hope you get lucky. I dont now anything about drifting but a skill like that might come in handy in that situation

i wouldnt take a posted 35mph turn at 70mph if i had never been there.
in the situation described, you crash trying to brake as hard as you can for as long as you can til you can try to turn and slide the rear out and gas as hard as you can.. .but 75mph in a 25mph turn, doubt you'll be able to save yourself.

Brake as hard as you can with the vehicle in a straight line. If you're turning while braking, you won't be able to scrub off speed as well sliding sideways. There's better tire grip using the tread pointed forwards rather than obliquely.
Then let off and try and slide the rear out a little to rotate the rear around to get pointed in the right direction and gas to pull out of the turn.
So basically the same as the above last poster's comments.

I actually had an experience like this a few weeks back (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...8946&hl=canyon), only the corner speed wasn't posted. I'm very glad I didn't brake in the corner, as I'd have toasted my car.

This actually happened to me and I know what not to do. haha
Double apexes suck.
One suggestion would be to try and brake as hard as you can in a straight line while looking for a run-off area. If no run-off area is spotted and you must stay on the road then try to swing the back out and "drift" through the second turn trying to stay off the throttle as least as possible so you can further slow down. If you made it this far then you have one of two options 1)countersteer the drift and try to regain control of the car or 2)scrubbed off enough speed that it would be safe for you to hit the brakes and spin out and come to a stop.
The other suggestion would be to NOT drive so fast in an unfamiliar place.
In my case however I wasn't so lucky and ended up snap oversteering into the gaurdrail of the second corner.

And what have you done?
You have a MY01, still on 16" with S-02's?
Not lowered or any other fancy suspension mods?
Just steer through it while braking.
No problem
