I usually just pass in 6th gear on the highway lol, I just floor it.

Despite the well documented "complete lack of torque" of the F20C, 6th gear at highway speeds is all I need to pass in 90% of the situations on the road. A drop to 5th usually deals with the other 10%.

Yeah 6th gear for me too. 4.77 gears and a vtec lowered to 5500 rpm's greatly helps there though. Makes a great 6th gear passer though.

Make sure you know the limits of each gear. If you put it in 3rd and you're going 85 you will mechanically over-rev your engine and do some major damage. The AP2 can get to about 78 in 3rd, so you wouldn't want to plop it in 3rd if you were going 80, know what I mean?

Depending how fast I feel like overtaking I'll drop from 6th to either 5th or 4th. I love how these cars were built for shifting rather than a flat torque curve where you just mash the pedal.

Practice rev matching once your comfortable with this you should be able to drop into 3rd from 6th with confidence.

4.57's make the need to downshift on the highway totally gone. Just give it more throttle and I'm very quickly around anything I need to get around.

Most of the zombies on the road are slow enough that I generally don't downshift. If a downshift is needed it's to the next lower gear. If the next lower gear isn't sufficient then you were in the wrong gear to begin with (as has already been pointed out).

well if I'm going around 60-65mph on the hwy (omaha speed limit) and I'm cruising and chilling of course I'm gonna have it in 6th gear. But if you want to pass someone, flooring it in 6th gear is pathetic and embarrassing (unless you've changed the gear ratios or have S/C) Downshifting to 5th doesn't help much either if your looking for a quick spirited pass.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I've been doing now is
1) put in the clutch
2) rev the engine around 6-7k rpms
3)row the gears 6-5-4-3
4) let out the clutch

the car seems fine, doesn't do anything weird. Am I doing something wrong.
